Why it's built the way it is
Test voltage and current at the same time. The meter and clamp talk to each other wirelessly, so you get simultaneous, time-stamped voltage and current readings — and the meter automatically calculates VA power. No more taking two separate measurements and doing the math yourself.
Connect safely, without touching live wires. The wireless clamp has a non-contact design and a thin jaw, so it fits into tight combiner boxes and lets you take readings from a safe distance — useful when you're working around 1500 VDC strings.
MC4 leads mean no adapters. The included Staubli MC4 test leads plug straight into panel and string connectors, so you're not improvising with banana-plug leads that were never rated for the job.
Confirm the meter is ready before you rely on it. A built-in self-check verifies calibration status, battery life, test lead continuity, and voltage function — so you're not second-guessing a reading taken at the top of a rooftop array or the far end of a utility site.
